"You have put gladness in my heart, more than in the season that their grain and wine increased. I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety."

Silvery

There has been a lot of moisture in the air for a few days, and last night a cold front came in, freezing the wetness, and creating a beautiful silvery icy film on everything. Here are a few photos I snapped!

  1. These pictures are beautiful. I like your background too... but I think I like your old background with the funny colors better :o)

  2. What, you liked the other one over THIS?!? The old orange one was... alright for autumn, but it clashed with all the colors in my photos! :-P And, the other one with the crazy design just wasn't me-- it was a little too 'cutsy'... This is artistically and practically superior to both :-D

  3. Yeah, I didn't like the cutsy one, it was not very 'Annie'. This one is kind of... dreary. I liked the funny bright clashing colors the best :o) But if you really do like this one better, then I suppose I can learn to like it...

  4. Oh good, I am glad you didn't like the cutesy one! :o) I suppose this one IS a little bit dreary, but fitting, as cloudy days sometimes are-- and are seen as beautiful. I am trying to figure out how to make my own, so that I can maybe put up a picture of Darcey in the background! That would be fun, un-dreary, and much more fitting for my blog! :o)

  6. This is a picture I took two summers ago. It is a view of the mountains (and of course beautiful clouds) in front of our house. I couldn't put up something with Darcey yet. I tried, and it just didn't look right. I think I need to take some new pictures of her! lol. But, until then this is a good substitute, I think :o)

  7. Darcey is going to feel unappreciated and left out :'o(

  8. I never thought I would see the day when you showed such concern for the COW!!! This is very perplexing. Well, in response to your 'concerned comment'; Darcey happens to like clouds. And, being a cow who appreciates beauty I do believe that she would approve of my chosen background here. Darcey also is a very humble cow, and would never venture to suppose we would want her picture plastered all over the internet. In fact, it might mortify her, as she has only ever seen her reflection in the little stream she drinks water from, and the swamp.

And... I cannot believe I am saying all this. Eeeeek!!!

  9. How do you know that Darcey likes clouds?

  10. Because when she looks up at the clouds she blinks her pretty, big cowie eyes, and smiles. And then, of course, she continues chewing her cudd... You do ask the strangest questions, though! Wherever do you come up with these things?

  11. Oh, I see. I guess she is something of a romantic cow... I don't know her that well, so I wasn't sure. She seems like she may take a while to open up to people, but I am glad to know that she also appreciates beatuy and is very humble. I like the word 'wherever'...

  12. Yeah, she is a little 'pent-up' around new acquaintances. She is a little romantic about the sky, maybe, but not the ground. She definitely knows that the only purpose of grass (as she understands things) is for her to munch on and take naps in.

  13. Haha! I think you would get bored if you were a cow... you would only eat, sleep, and drink all day long.

  14. I think it might be interesting to be a cow, because I would like to eat, sleep and drink all day long. I would look at the clouds some too, and wag my tail a little...
